A good example of predictive AI from the Waymo Driver: in a split second, it predicted an initial crash of human-driven cars in the next lane, anticipated a secondary collision, and proactively shifted lanes — all while  managing its distance from the vehicles around it.

The joint embedding predictive architecture is flawed itself.You do statistical optimization in embedding space, freeze entire model to use with dynamic programming to determine control commands for, say, a robot.This would'nt generalize as well as he thinks it would.
